TASR Gold Division

The Gold Division is a qualification only division that was first introduced in 2020 in an effort to increase the competitive nature of our events. Gold qualification counts for the current year and the following year you qualify.

TO QUALIFY AS A Gold Status Player in 2022 fulfill one of these:

  • Finish in the top 2 of an advanced division at a TASR Major (top 4 at Texas Nationals)

    or

  • Earn a similar status as recognized by another Recognized Roundnet Organization

    or

  • Earn SRA Premier Status

    or

  • Earn top 8 in Gold to re-qualify (if less than 16 teams in Gold division, then top half requalifies)

    • Platinum division at Texas Nationals automatically re-qualifies

    • Gold bracket at Texas Nationals is treated as the Gold division for requalification purposes

Gold division contingencies

  • If there are not at least 8 teams in the Advanced or Gold divisions then there will be only 1 top division: Advanced

  • If there is no Gold division then Gold qualification will be awarded to the top 2 eligible non-Gold teams in the advanced division

  • A player cannot qualify for Gold with a partner who is Gold qualified

  • Premier players or players that have finished in the top 3 of a major are ineligible for lower divisions (must play in the Gold divisions)
